Hivotec Nigeria is a public – Private – Partnership with the University of Lagos, Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) and ABBNG as major stakeholders. The goal is to bring together the three key elements of technological innovation namely: theory, experimentation and industrial utilization. Her main areas of interest include, but not limited, to High/Medium voltage testing, power quality issues, Energy Management systems (EMS) and consultancy services.

   
   

The company has in her employment a crop of seasoned Engineers and Technologists while enjoying free access to faculty staff members as consultants on a short time basis. In the HIVOTEC’s laboratory, at the University of Lagos, can be found modern energy monitoring and high voltage test equipment. HIVOTEC render services to industry, and by so doing develop new skills.

This is made possible by the joint input of major players in the field: PHCN, Unilag, and by direct affiliation with top foreign expertise and local industry. Foreign partners include: THETA Ingenieurbuero Rogler & Dietrich, HIGHVOLT Pruftechnik GmBH Germany, HIGH VOLTAGE TEST SYSTEMS, FRANCE.
